Our large selection of late summer flowering herbaceous perennials are coming to their own now with plenty of floriferous promise ahead.
The roses have suffered a bit from all the rain – the petals just stuck together before they got the chance to open, the bigger the blooms the more they suffered. Most of them are repeat flowering though and have got a lot more buds for another fragrant show. Dead-head regularly to prolong flowering.
Evergreen shrubs including Hebes, Choisyas, Holly and Mahonias are looking good now and great for winter colour.
