- Plant remaining spring flowering bulbs & spring/winter bedding
- Keep off borders and lawns if they are wet and/or frozen
- Plant garlic and check any stored onions and potatoes for signs of rot
- Sow hardy annuals for early flowering next year
- Clear out bird boxes and provide food and fresh water for birds
- Clear leaves from lawns to prevent a build-up of pests and diseases.
- Make leaf mould – place leaves into black bags, pierce the bottom of the bag to allow drainage, water the leaves and seal the bag. Water every couple of months and after 12-24 months the resulting leaf mould can be used to mulch borders and for propagation.
